Jubberwacky
Beautiful preserves, homemade in North Norfolk
Ali Williams lives in the heart of North Norfolk
with her family and chaotic collection of rescued chickens, ducks,
sheep, bees and one shaggy dog.
A love of kitchen gardening & cooking lead to this
inspired range of chutneys and jams. Ali has long been disillusioned
with the lack of choice of preserves on the market which do not
contain artificial flavour enhancers, preservatives or setting
agents.
You will find none of these in any of our jams and
chutneys. We even make our own pectin ‘soup’ as our setting agent,
using fresh Norfolk apples.
We go to great lengths to source good Norfolk
ingredients wherever possible. We have a beautiful, ever expanding,
kitchen garden and of course our own fantastic eggs and honey. We
believe in seasonality. Quite simply if a fruit or vegetable is not
in season we do not use it and thus the range shifts with the
seasons.
These deliciously unique products make superb
gifts; the jams and marmalades give that Sunday breakfast an
indulgent edge whilst the chutneys enhance anything from a simple
sandwich to a sophisticated evening meal for friends.
The name: For those who may think that I cannot
spell (true!) or that the name sounds sort of familiar ... My maiden
name is Jubb and my husbands nick name is Wack and my favourite poem
from school days ... Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll from Through the
Looking Glass and What Alice Found There. Twas brillig!

Norfolk Apple Blitz
A wonderful combination of sweet and fruity Norfolk apples,
freshly grated ginger and chilli. Delicious! |

Hearty Ploughman’s Pickle
A robust and traditional chutney, delicious with sandwiches,
cheese and a pint or two of course! |

Red Onion Marmalade
Caramelised red onion and balsamic vinegar, infused with bay;
delicious with warm goats cheese tarts, game or simple jacket
potatoes. |

Sticky Date & Apricot Chutney
Ali’s favourite. This is a rich, delicious chutney enhanced with
allspice and ginger. |

Ruby Marmalade
A delicious marmalade using ruby grapefruits, sweet oranges and
fresh lemons; this vibrant marmalade is perfect with toast and a cup
of tea. |

Lemon Curd
Made using fresh lemons, eggs from our own hens and good quality
butter; sinfully delicious! Fabulous as a filling in your favourite
sponge cake. |

Norfolk Apple Jam with Ginger & Amaretto Caramel
Fluffy Norfolk Bramley apples stirred through with a homemade
syrupy ginger and Amaretto caramel. Lovely on toast or at the bottom
of a sumptuous sponge pudding. Yummy on pancakes! |

Piccalilli
Punchy Piccalilli made with fresh crisp vegetables, mustard and
vibrant turmeric. Delicious with cold cuts, sandwiches or cheese and
biscuits. |

This delicate jam is packed with fresh pears from our own
garden; steeped overnight with sugar & the finest vanilla pods.

Chillis Galore
All our products are handmade by Kathy at our home in Norfolk in small batches to ensure quality, they all have a good clean fresh flavour (all contain fresh chillis with some flakes, no chilli powders), no bulking agents or colourants have been added.

Jalapeño Coriander & Lime Chilli Jelly
This is our mildest jelly, it has a very fresh clean flavour of green Jalapeño with added fresh coriander leaf and lime juice.
Great with hot and cold meats and excellent with cheeses.

Chilli & Onion Sticky Relish
Long and slow cooked, this sweetish sticky onion relish is subtly flavoured with a few spices and mixed home grown chillis (not too hot)
Great in sandwiches and grilled meats from the BBQ, but especially due to its sweetness goes well with the sourer white cheese like goats cheese etc.

Red Chilli "Jammy" Relish
Cooked in the same way as a jam would be, this sweet chilli relish is made with Red Jalapeño's and Red Serenades, giving a perfect combination of heat to sweetness.
Great with cold meats and cheese, barbecues and grills, but also as a dip for oriental snacks, prawns, squid.

Smoked Chilli Jelly (Chipotle)
This hottish, sweet chilli jelly is made with chipotles, (usually smoked Jalapeño's) which gives deep warming smokey flavour.
Great as an accompaniment with all cheeses and cold meats, but due to its warming smokey flavour can add depth and flavour to cooked dishes.

Habanero Chilli Jelly
Jump up the heatscale a bit with the Caribbean peppers. Lovely distinct clean fruity flavour of the red Habanero pepper, which has a completely different flavour and heat to the Jalapeño.
Good with any cheese and cold meats. The heat is kept slightly downing this one to taste the distinctive fruity flavour of the habanero pepper.

Jamaican Hot Chilli Jelly
Similar to the Habanero jelly, but hotter, nice clean flavour of the red Habanero peppers with extra hot Jamaican peppers for those who like it a bit warmer.
Good with cheese and cold meats, but also from customer feedback good with fish dishes or making dips or marinades to get the Caribbean flavour.

Spiced Cranberry Chilli Jelly Available Oct-Dec
Made with fresh cranberries in season and red Habanero's with a hint of Xmas spice, about the same heatscale as our Habanero chilli jelly.
Great with your christmas cold meats or cheese, it also makes a great present as this flavour is only available Oct-Dec each year.

Revenge Hot Sauce
Hot chilli sauce made with a mixture of Red Habanero's and Bhut Jolokia Naga's with just a touch of Habanero chilli extract to finish it off. Although this is a hot sauce, the full fruity flavour still comes through. Great on cheese on toast or add a few drips to your eggs at breakfast.

Inferno Hot Sauce
Hot Sauce made with a Bhut Jolokia Naga chillis, Chipotles to develop a smokier flavour further, finished off with tomato juice and spices. Good sauce to have at the BBQ if you can stand the heat.

Thai Chilli Sauce
Full flavours of the Far East this medium hot, sweet & sour pouring or dipping sauce is great for thai fish cakes, prawns, deep fried crispy oriental snacks, or onto any rice or noodle dish. Great on cold chicken. Customer feedback on this one is to have it with Philadelphia cheese.

Caribbean Fruity Chilli Sauce
Hot fruity sauce, made with Red Habanero's and mixed fruit (mainly pineapple), can be added to any dish to give it a hot tropical flavour, pour onto rice or noodle/pasta dishes to zing it up or add to sour cream or mayo to make a tropical dip.
