Products sauces, chutneys, marinades, mustards, jellies and
preserves. All these products are handmade in small batches.
In 2008, awards were given to the Mango with Ginger & Toasted Cumin
Seeds (Taste of the West - Silver, Peppadew Jelly (Great taste
awards - Gold) and Real Ale Pickle. The Raspberry Jam, Lemon
Curd, Stem Ginger, Finest Blackcurrant Extra Jam, Gooseberry &
Elderflower Jam, Pink Grapefruit Marmalade and Summer Fruits with
Pimms Jam also won awards in 2008. We have most of our sauces,
chutneys and marinades range
in stock all the time, but like all our products, if you would like
something specific, please do let us know and we can have it in
stock in a couple of days.
Chutneys
Twenty-three delicious chutneys - our range gets
better and better. There’s something for everyone. We have won 42
Awards for the taste and quality of our preserves and chutneys in
2006 alone. Why not try our Spicy Tomato & Caramelised Onion or the
Mango Ginger and Toasted Cumin Seeds? Don’t forget to tell us which
are your favourites.
Special Real Ale Chutney: A traditional
ploughman's chutney with the rich taste of real ale. Ideal with
cheese, also excellent with cold meats and pies. Try adding a
tablespoon to bolognaise sauce during cooking.
Apricot & Stem Ginger Chutney: This Chutney
beat hundreds of excellent food products to be overall champion at
the 1999 Royal Bath & West Show.
Hot Chilli & Carrot Chutney: If you love
chillies, you will become addicted to this wonderful Indian style
chutney. Excellent with cold meats, cheese, stir fries and curries,
or why not just eat it neat with crusty French bread.
Tangy Fruit Chutney with Cider: The cider
adds a real fruitfulness to this chutney making it perfect when used
with salads, cheese, or all meats, both hot and cold. It also makes
a great accompaniment to all types of quiches.
Chilli Hot Mango Chutney: Our mango chutney
is made from only the ripest and most succulent fruit. Perfect for
curries, cheese and cold meats. Also makes a fantastic hot dip for
Thai and Chinese food. Also superb as an addition to any stir fry.
Spicy Gooseberry & Fresh Coriander Chutney:
Winner in the National Chutney Challenge 2009. This
delightfully spicy chutney with its Eastern undercurrents is the
perfect accompaniment to salads, cheese or cold meats. Delicious on
fresh crusty rolls, or use it to add bite to stir-frys and sauces.
Gamekeeper's Spicy Orange Chutney: A very
traditional recipe dating back many years, ideal for all game, hot
or cold, pies and strong cheese. A perfect sauce ingredient for
duck.
Spicy Tomato & Caramelised Onion Chutney:
This excellent sweet chutney, infused with spices, adds flavour and
body to many dishes, from the traditional to the more exotic. It is
particularly suited to Mediterranean or Mexican food. Try using it
as a dip, or simply with bread and cheese.
Hot Pepper & Onion Chutney: This hot and
spicy chutney is fantastic with all barbecued food, especially
burgers and hot dogs. Adds spice to sauces especially pasta. Also
ideal with cold meats.
Tomato & Apple Chutney: This old fashioned
chutney is ideal for cheese and hot or cold meats. Use it in pasta
sauces or as a pizza topping.
Abbot's Pickle with Mead: This recipe is
said to date back to the time of Henry VIII. It is a perfect partner
with cheese and is also great with cold meats and pies.
Rich Mediterranean Chutney: This delicious
sweet chutney is infused with herbs to give the true taste of the
Mediterranean. Excellent with seafood, or try using it as a dip with
tapas, or simply with cold meats or bread and cheese.
Onion Marmalade: This old fashioned recipe
combines balsamic vinegar with caramelised onions to give an
exquisite rich taste, perfect for cold meats - particularly poultry,
fine cheeses and poachers pie.
Mango & Ginger with Toasted Cumin Seeds:
This sweet and spicy chutney is made from only the ripest and most
succulent fruit. With toasted cumin seeds giving it an authentic
Indian flavour, it is the perfect accompaniment for curries. Also
delicious with cheese and cold meats.
Apple & Ginger Chutney: An old-fashioned
recipe using only the finest ingredients. Ideal with cheese, also
excellent with cold meats and pies.
Spicy Red Onion Marmalade: This special
recipe combines red onions and vinegar with beetroot and ginger to
give a great spicy flavour. Ideal with cold meats or baked cheeses.
Piccalilli with Caramelised Onion: A
traditional piccalilli combines a host of vegetables with white wine
vinegar and caramelised onions to deliver a flavour perfect for
serving with cheeses and cold meats.
Grandma’s Traditional Curried Chutney: This
is delicious chutney, with a hint of curry, perfect for accompanying
spicy foods and cold meat dishes. For a change, why not try adding
it to home baked curries.
Traditional Piccalilli: This chutney is
made from a traditional recipe with onions, cauliflower, carrots,
red and green peppers, white wine vinegar, mustard and spices to
give that perfect zing when served with cheeses.
Lime Pickle with Garlic & Ginger Chutney: A
perfect partner for curried dishes either added to the sauce or as a
dip for poppadoms. Or, if you're feeling adventurous, why not try it
with crab cakes?

Our clever chefs have created two delicious chutneys
with traditional recipes but without added sugar for a healthier
option.
Grandma’s Curried Apple Chutney: This is a
delicious chutney, with a hint of curry, perfect for accompanying
spicy foods and cold meat dishes. For a change, why not try adding
it to home-baked curries. There are no refined sugars in this

Our Wholegrain English Mustard is an award winner. We
also have a Hot English Mustard and three other varieties which
include Hot Garlic with Chilli, Cider Mustard with Horseradish and a
Roman Mustard which is sweet and mild.
Hot Garlic Mustard with Chilli: The
combination of the strong garlic and hot chilli gives this mustard
an explosively delicious flavour. Perfect for cold and hot meats,
cheese and barbeques.
Cider Mustard with Horseradish: This old
fashioned mustard combines the fruitiness of cider with the heat of
horseradish to give a rich hot mustard. Perfect for meats, hot or
cold and great for making sauces.
Wholegrain English Mustard: This
traditional mustard is perfect for all meats, hot or cold, strong
cheeses and sausages. It is also excellent when used in marinades
and dressings.
Roman Mustard: This sweet mild wholegrain
mustard is ideal with cold meats and salads, or try using it as a
base ingredient for sauces and dressings.
Hot English Mustard: This traditional
smooth English mustard is perfect with hot and cold meats and
cheese. It is also ideal for making rich sauces.
Jellies
and Sauces
This is our range of perfect accompaniments for beef,
pork, chicken, turkey, duck or roast lamb.
All the ingredients are of the finest quality and work equally well
with hot or cold meats and cheese. Don’t forget to try our award
winning Cranberry Sauce – it’s absolutely delicious.
Horseradish Sauce: This creamy hot sauce is
made from the finest English Horseradish. It is perfect with hot or
cold meats, particularly beef.
Apple Sauce with Calvados: Made from
Bramley apples and laced with Calvados brandy, the mellow
fruitfulness is a traditional accompaniment to roast pork and is
sublime when added to a Somerset Pork Casserole.
Cumberland Sauce: A full, rich sauce that's
a perfect accompaniment to all meats, hot or cold. Delicious with
cheese and bread. Add this sauce to red wine and reduce it to create
a sensational gravy sauce for duck, chicken or turkey.
Cranberry Sauce: This award winning
cranberry sauce is absolutely delicious. Perfect for all poultry,
hot or cold, particularly turkey. It is so tasty it can even be used
as jam on toast.
Rich Plum Sauce
Redcurrant Jelly: A perfect accompaniment
to all meats, hot or cold, particularly roast lamb or pork. Why not
try making a redcurrant and peanut butter sandwich - delicious! Also
excellent when used in gravy to create a great sauce for chicken or
turkey.
Mint Jelly: A traditional favourite with
roast lamb. Only the finest quality mint is used to create this
delicious fresh taste. Why not add it to cold lamb stuffed with
garlic.
Pepperdew Jelly: This delicious jelly, with
its slightly sweet and hot taste, is an ideal accompaniment to many
dishes including roast meats. Why not try combining it with soft
cheeses to make a stunning dip.

It was only a matter of time before we used our
finest ingredients to create a range of tasty sauces ideal for
grilled meats or burgers. There’s a rich and spicy tomato sauce, a
sweet and spicy BBQ sauce and a sweet chilli sauce which is also
perfect for dipping.
Sticky BBQ Sauce: The sweet and spicy
flavour of this sauce makes it a perfect accompaniment for your
barbecued meats or why not try adding it to spaghetti bolognaise for
an original twist on an old favourite?
Rich Spicy Tomato Sauce: Bored of your
usual ketchup? Then try this as an alternative with a bit more zing.
Use it however you wish; with grilled meats, in cooked dishes or as
a filling for home baked burgers.
Sweet Chilli Sauce: The medium heat of the
chillies in this product makes it great for barbecued meats or as a

Curds
We make three delicious curds from traditional
recipes. You can choose Lemon Curd – with or without a dash of
Advocaat - or our yummy Lime Curd. With hot buttered toast, ready to
spread - who can resist?
All Butter Lemon Curd: We always use real
butter in our old-fashioned lemon curd. Delicious on bread or toast.
It also makes a superb filling for farmhouse cakes.
Luscious Lemon Curd with Advocaat: An old
fashioned recipe with 4% Advocaat to make a truly luscious treat for
bread or toast.
Traditional Lime Curd: This lime curd is
made with 5% limes - a delicious alternative to our All Butter Lemon
Curd for bread or toast.
Honeys
An absolute must if you have croissants in the house!
These three honeys are especially good with breakfast bakery or just
a spoonful in your porridge. Honey is a good replacement for sugar
in many recipes and these soft flavours are just perfect at tea
time.
Pure Honey with Cut Comb: This golden honey
is perfect for hot toast, or why not try it with porridge instead of
sugar. Also delicious when used in marinades.

English Flower Honey: This honey originates
from North Devon and the beautiful hills of Exmoor. It is a great
replacement for sugar and is perfect as a glaze for roast pork or

and dressings.
